The Business Development Coordinator is responsible for help to driving the development and execution of new business opportunities across the energy sector in Brazil and Latin America. The role combines deep market intelligence, strategic thinking, and strong internal and external collaboration to expand the company’s portfolio in conventional and low-carbon energy businesses.

The professional will build a comprehensive understanding of the market environment across the energy industry, including Brazilian and international trends in Biofuels, Oil & Gas, Power, and decarbonization-related businesses. The position proactively promotes new initiatives aligned with corporate strategy, working closely with cross-functional stakeholders and external partners.

A key focus of the role is to strengthen the company’s presence in biofuels and carbon credit businesses in Brazil, developing relationships with key market players and taking ownership of project origination and advancement.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Monitoring and analyzing policies, regulations, technologies, and market developments across Biofuels, Oil & Gas, Power, and Energy Transition segments (domestic gas, LNG, low-carbon fuels such as bioethanol, HVO, SAF, Renewable Natural Gas, and carbon credits)
  • Leading the development of biofuel supply businesses from Brazil, including bioethanol and SAF, to support growing global demand for renewable fuels
  • Identifying, structuring, and advancing carbon credit generation projects in Brazil in line with emerging compliance carbon market trends
  • Promoting LNG sales opportunities in Brazil and exploring additional Gas and Power business opportunities through expansion of the gas value chain
  • Building and maintaining strong networks with key industry players, partners, and relevant institutions
    and coordinating with global and regional stakeholders to support strategic decision-making and project execution
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Economics, Business Administration, Energy, or related field
  • Professional Experience
    • ~7 years of relevant professional experience
    • Proven experience in the energy sector (Biofuels, Oil & Gas, Power, Gas/LNG, or Energy Transition)
    • Demonstrated background in business development, project development, or energy investments
    • Experience in the Brazilian energy market and/or Latin America strongly preferred
  • Technical Skills
    • Strong analytical and logical reasoning skills
    • Solid commercial/strategic planning and market assessment capability
    • Knowledge of carbon markets, low-carbon fuels, or RNG is highly desirable
  • Languages
    • English: Advanced or fluent
