Head of Marketing - U.S. (Contractor)

Global Remote

Company Overview

BotCity brings governance to the code AI writes. AI turned asking into code, and every business user is now a developer. The Python they generate runs on corporate workstations outside any pipeline, inventory, or approval flow, and nothing in the enterprise stack was built to see it. BotCity Sentinel governs that code where it runs: a script-level inventory of what executes, where, and by whom, contextual policies that allow, alert, or block, and a remediation loop where the author makes the first fix. Security asks whether code is malicious. Governance asks whether it should run, here, by this person. We built Sentinel to own the second question. Today it's Python. Tomorrow it's every line of code AI writes.

BotCity serves 1,000+ teams in 70+ countries, including customers as Bayer and LG. We raised a $12M Series A led by Four Rivers, with participation from Y Combinator, SoftBank, and founders and investors including Lew Cirne (New Relic), Rod Johnson (SpringSource), and Walter Kortschak (Summit Partners and Firestreak Ventures). G2 named BotCity one of the world's top 25 emerging platforms.

We are a remote company with teams across the US and LATAM. Small team, large customers, a category forming around us. If you want real ownership over a problem that matters, we should talk.

Role Overview

The Head of Marketing will build the demand and authority engine that lands Sentinel in the U.S., personally running the channels (outbound, digital, PR, and events) that generate qualified pipeline for the Account Executives. In this role, they will launch the U.S. go-to-market engine, build Sentinel's authority footprint in U.S. trade press and content, and deliver a data-backed recommendation on Sentinel's core US positioning. The ideal candidate is a hands-on builder who has taken a technical enterprise product to market in the U.S. before, operates the marketing stack personally rather than through a team, and runs a disciplined test-and-learn process rather than working from a fixed playbook.

This is a fractional, contractor-based engagement, 2–3 days per week from September to December 31, 2026, with a formal checkpoint in late October to assess pipeline and launch progress. Compensation will be defined case-by-case. The role reports to the CEO and works directly with Account Executives in the U.S.

Responsibilities

  • Build and launch Sentinel's U.S. demand engine, from target account list to outbound sequences to a live landing page.
  • Fill the pipeline for the Account Executive with qualified first meetings and opportunities.
  • Build Sentinel's authority presence in the U.S. through earned press, bylines, and a regular content cadence.
  • Drive top-of-funnel volume and velocity toward signed U.S. POCs.
  • Test and recommend Sentinel's core U.S. positioning through live message testing and win/loss analysis
  • Instrument and maintain the U.S. funnel in HubSpot with clean, reliable reporting.
  • Run a disciplined weekly testing cadence with clear kill/scale decisions.
Requirements

Required Qualifications

  • Proven experience (5+ years) in B2B marketing, including launching a technical enterprise product in the US market from zero.
  • Experience generating demand from both technical/operational buyers (IT, Automation, Center of Excellence) and security/compliance buyers (Security, GRC).
  • Hands-on experience running digital and outbound programs, cold outreach into enterprise accounts, and event-based programs (roundtables, webinars, trade shows) for technical buyers.
  • Track record placing stories and bylines in trade or business press, and running content programs that generated inbound pipeline for a technical category.
  • Hands-on proficiency with the marketing stack, including HubSpot, outbound/enrichment tooling, and AI-assisted workflows.
  • Experience designing and running structured marketing experiments, with clear hypotheses and documented kill/scale decisions.
  • Experience directing remote or offshore execution teams asynchronously.
  • Ability to work U.S. business hours.
  • Legally authorized to work in the U.S. as an independent contractor; visa sponsorship is not available for this role.
  • English - Fluent.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Existing relationships in enterprise IT or security buying communities.
  • Prior marketing experience in AI governance, GRC, or IT governance categories.
  • Experience taking a non-U.S. company into the US market.
  • Working understanding of security channel/VAR/MSSP economics.
