Role Overview

The Python Developer will be responsible for design, develop, and deliver Python based automation projects for BotCity clients, ensuring performance, reliability, and customer satisfaction through scalable and maintainable solutions. This person will be deliver automation projects on time and within scope, keep production automations running reliably, maintain clear and complete documentation, and communicate progress and risks to stakeholders through regular updates. This role is built for someone with solid experience in Python, who is passionate about automation and high-quality code, communicates well and prioritizes the client experience, and stays reliable and resilient in ambiguous, fast changing environments. This role reports to the Delivery Manager.

 
Responsibilities

  • Gather and analyze client requirements, propose automation solutions, and design workflows aligned with business goals.
  • Develop, test, and deploy Python automations using BotCity’s platform and best practices.
    Write clean, maintainable, and reusable code, following team standards, reviews, and version control processes (Git).
  • Monitor, debug, and optimize automations to ensure reliability and performance in production.
  • Document processes, code, and architecture clearly for both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Provide technical support and training during project handover or customer onboarding.
  • Collaborate closely with project managers, QA, and clients to ensure successful and timely project delivery.
  • Identify and implement improvements in development practices, tooling, and project workflows.
Requirements

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
  • Proven track record (2+ years) in Python development.
  • Relevant hands-on experience with automation or RPA projects.
  • Solid understanding of APIs, data manipulation, error handling, and debugging.
  • Proven experience with Git version control system and GitHub Flow.
  • Experience working with MS Office/Excel, Google Suite, Notion.
  • Takes ownership and acts with a bias for action and executive autonomy.
  • Stays coachable, earns trust, and collaborates with humility with clients and peers.
  • Puts the customer first and stays methodically curious by using data to support recommendations and
  • continuously learning.
  • Portuguese - Fluent.
  • English - Advanced.
  • Ability to travel as needed to support events and meet the team.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in professional services, IT consulting, or customer delivery roles.
  • Exposure with Agile methodologies.
  • Prior experience in an early-stage, high-growth, and fast-paced startup environment.
  • Familiarity with BotCity tools.
  • Spanish - Intermediate.
