Middle or Senior Data Platform Engineer – Management Services

The Eye Candy Solutions is seeking a skilled Middle or Senior Data Platform Engineer to lead the development, management, and continuous enhancement of our Data Management Services platform, including Databricks Unity Catalog and Collibra Data Intelligence Cloud.

We are seeking mid to senior-level professionals with a strong track record in managing and evolving enterprise data governance platforms, and deep expertise in technologies such as Databricks Unity Catalog, Collibra, Azure Cloud, and CI/CD automation. Ideal candidates will combine hands-on technical proficiency with a strategic understanding of data management, security, and compliance, enabling them to deliver scalable, reliable, and policy-aligned data infrastructure solutions that support business-critical decision-making.

The selected candidate will act as a central technical enabler for engineering and product teams, supporting the delivery of scalable data products. They will lead core operational activities—including change, configuration, and lifecycle management—while ensuring strict adherence to security and compliance standards. The role also includes driving platform reliability through automation, CI/CD pipeline development, and effective use of Azure cloud infrastructure.

⚠️ This is a remote-first role, open to candidates based in Portugal or Spain, with occasional travel expected depending on project requirements. ⚠️

✒️ Requirements:

- 3+ years of experience in IT platform management and change projects.
- Solid understanding of Data Management and Data Engineering practices.
- Experience with Databricks Unity Catalog and Collibra Data Governance tools.
- Proficient in Azure Cloud, Azure DevOps, and CI/CD implementation.
- Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.
- Demonstrated problem-solving capability and Agile/Scrum experience.

🔧 Preferred Qualifications:

- Experience with Bash, Azure CLI, PowerShell, REST APIs, and Terraform.
- Familiarity with data security and compliance frameworks.
- Knowledge of AWS cloud environments is a plus.

🎓 Bachelor’s in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering or equivalent professional experience.
🌐 English mandatory.
