Senior Platform Engineer

The Eye Candy Solutions is seeking a Senior Data Platform Engineer to join a high-priority global initiative with an international client in the financial and insurance sector. The role focuses on the operational management and continuous development of a Data and Insights Platform aimed at enabling rapid deployment of AI solutions across business units in over 15 countries.

You will play a strategic role in building and optimizing a secure, high-performance, Kubernetes-native MLOps infrastructure that supports large-scale machine learning model deployment.

✒️ Key Responsibilities

• Lead the operational management and technical evolution of the Data and Insights Platform, ensuring alignment with business objectives and AI deployment goals.
• Install, configure, and manage critical platform components such as Seldon, Istio, Elasticsearch, Prometheus, and Grafana.
• Collaborate with infrastructure teams to optimize Kubernetes clusters and resources for machine learning workloads.
• Provide full MLOps lifecycle support, including packaging, deploying, securing, and monitoring ML models in production.
• Design and maintain custom platform components using Python and FastAPI.
• Build and operate CI/CD pipelines with ArgoCD, implement observability, testing, and security best practices.
• Document architecture decisions, operational procedures, and ensure continuous integration of Kubernetes, MLOps, and cloud-native innovations.

 
✅ Mandatory Skills – Core Competency Focus

Candidates must clearly demonstrate experience in the following:

1. Proficiency in Python and FastAPI – proven experience developing platform components and APIs.
2. Experience with Kubernetes, AWS, and Docker – deploying and managing containerized, scalable systems.
3. Understanding of CI/CD processes and tools like ArgoCD – hands-on management of automated pipelines.
4. MLOps expertise using Seldon and MLFlow – ability to support and industrialize ML models.
5. Knowledge of defensive programming, unit testing, and authorization flows – ensuring robustness and security.

 ✒️ Additional Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of experience in platform, DevOps, or software engineering with production-grade systems.
• Proficiency with:
  • Terraform, Git, and modern deployment practices.
  • Monitoring and observability tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, and Opensearch.

🎓Bachelor’s in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering or equivalent professional experience.
