Senior Data Platform Engineer

The Eye Candy Solutions is seeking a Senior Data Platform Engineer to join a global initiative for one of our international clients, aimed at scaling a corporate Data Analytics Platform across 15 countries. You will be responsible for building reusable, standardized data components that enable business units such as Product, Finance, HR, and Facilities to deliver high-quality data solutions efficiently.

The ideal candidate will demonstrate excellent programming and debugging skills, a strong sense of ownership, and the ability to collaborate effectively within cross-functional and Agile teams.

We require a seasoned IT professional with proven expertise in software, data, or platform engineering, strong hands-on experience with Azure services, and solid knowledge of modern data engineering practices, including CI/CD, containerization, and version control.

✒️ Requirements:

- 5+ years of relevant experience in software, data, or platform engineering.
- Proven ability to build and maintain platforms that are modular, testable, scalable, and easy to integrate.

- 3+ years of hands-on experience with Azure cloud services, including but not limited to:

• Azure Data Factory (ADF)
• Data Lake / Delta Lake
• Databricks
• Key Vaults
• (BigQuery, DataPipeline – considered a plus)

- Strong programming skills with proven experience in:

• Python (including Poetry and PySpark)
• SQL
• Go

- Proficiency in Data as Code principles and practices:

• CI/CD pipeline creation and maintenance
• Version control (e.g., Git)
• Containerization (e.g., Docker)

- Deep understanding of automated testing strategies for data pipelines and platform components.
- Experience in scalable, modular system design; participation in inner-source or open-source projects is a strong advantage.
- Interest or previous experience in Domain Driven Design (DDD) is considered a plus.

🎓Bachelor’s in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering or equivalent professional experience.
