Fraud Prevention Team Leader

CLT, São Paulo Hybrid

As a Fraud Prevention Team Leader, you will be responsible for leading a dedicated team that oversees and analyzes all user activities (signups, payments, bonus utilization, deposits, etc.) to detect and prevent fraudulent activities.

Your primary objective will be to ensure the integrity and security of operations, minimizing financial losses while delivering the best customer experience, and ensuring the company remains compliant with the regulatory aspects of the legislation in which we operate. This role is pivotal in upholding the trustworthiness of our operations and providing excellent service to our customers.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and guide the team in monitoring and analyzing user activities to identify potential fraudulent activities;
  • Utilize fraud detection tools and techniques to identify suspicious patterns or behaviors, promptly investigating and escalating any potential fraud incidents;
  • Coordinate the receipt of fraud-related cases from internal and external teams;
  • Conduct deep-dive analyses to understand behaviors and patterns that may indicate fraudulent activities;
  • Supervise dashboards to identify suspicious and potentially fraudulent situations;
  • Create and optimize rules that trigger alerts to help identify potential fraudulent situations;
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of the created rules to ensure efficiency in fraud prevention.

Work Model: Hybrid, with 3 days per week in the office in Pinheiros - São Paulo.

Requirements

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering, Finance, Business Administration, or related fields;
  • Proven experience leading teams at fraud prevention area using data analysis;
  • Ability to collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions;
  • Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving abilities;
  • Familiarity with anti-money laundering and Know Your Customer (KYC) principles;
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills;
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel;
  • Good verbal and written communication skills in English;
  • Excellent knowledge of Power BI or Tableau is a plus;
  • SQL and Python skills are a plus.
