IT Business Analyst – SAP PRA (4553)

Diamondback Energy is looking for an IT Business Analyst that will support our Production Revenue Accounting module within SAP. The IT Business Analyst – PRA would support the Revenue and Division Order business teams through day-to-day operations as well as providing different levels of project support as the teams are involved with continuous improvement projects. This position would be responsible for general SAP-PRA support, on-going configuration, system troubleshooting and testing, and maintaining functional documentation. The candidate works closely with functional groups including Production/Revenue Accounting and Division Orders, along with IT in leading the efforts in support of SAP PRA, new system enhancements, and other IT/Business project initiatives. This position is expected to work with all members of IT and various business stakeholders. Strong interpersonal and communication skills are critical to success. It is also expected that this individual be able to solve complex functional issues within the SAP-PRA landscape.

Requirements

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

Provide operational support of SAP PRA including reporting, data models, and integration with other systems
Work closely with IT and Accounting/DO teams to diagnose and remediate system risks and issues
Take ownership in providing integrity of production application environments to minimize unplanned outages and business disruption
Identify and remediate impact of new capability development to existing system landscape
Create, update, and maintain application documentation including architecture diagrams, functional designs, configuration settings, data models, integration, test scripts, etc.
Understand oil and gas accounting business processes and data
Identify, research, and evaluate available technologies in the marketplace to enhance Accounting/DO performance
Work closely with accounting/DO departments to identify short and long-term opportunities
Solicit and document requirements and appropriately prioritize to ensure alignment to value drivers
Ensure requirements traceability across project lifecycle including design, development, testing, deployment, and operational readiness to ensure solutions meet intended business needs and deliver value to the organization
Provide project management support as necessary
Work closely with and monitor the activities of external service providers
Liaise with software suppliers and other third parties, as required, to provide timely and cost-effective customer support
Evaluate and assist with implementation of improvements to SAP PRA collaboratively with the business
Build and maintain close and effective working relationships with Accounting/DO and the enterprise organizations


Required Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree in Business, MIS, Computer Science, Accounting, Engineering, or related field OR a minimum of ten (10) years of experience as a subject matter expert within Oil and Gas
Minimum of eight (8) years of experience working in SAP PRA
Knowledge of check write process in PRA
Experience troubleshooting issues arising in valuation
Knowledge of Contractual Allocations and related processes
Examples demonstrating an understanding of the Ownership process, knowledge of cross reference setup and how each PRA module relates to other modules
Extensive analytic and data analysis skills required, especially MS Excel
