About the role

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Junior Accounting Analyst to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in accounting and be experienced in managing bank reconciliations, accounts receivable/payable reconciliation, prepaid expense tracking, and working with QuickBooks Online or similar accounting software. This role supports the finance department in daily operational tasks and contributes to accurate financial reporting and analysis.


Responsibilities

  • Perform daily and monthly bank reconciliations to ensure accurate cash reporting.
  • Manage and reconcile accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) ledgers, ensuring all transactions are recorded and discrepancies resolved.
  • Track and allocate prepaid expenses, preparing related journal entries and schedules.
  • Assist in the month-end and year-end close processes.
  • Maintain up-to-date records in QuickBooks Online or comparable accounting systems.
  • Prepare basic financial reports and assist in variance analysis and budget tracking.
  • Collaborate with internal departments to resolve invoicing and payment issues.
  • Support audits by providing required documentation and reconciling data.
  • Help ensure compliance with internal financial controls and accounting policies.
Requirements
  • Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (or currently pursuing).
  • 1–3 years of experience in a similar accounting or finance role.
  • Proven experience with bank, AR, and AP reconciliations.
  • Familiarity with prepaid expense accounting.
  • Proficient in QuickBooks Online or similar accounting platforms.
  • Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Excel (formulas, pivot tables, lookups).
  • Fluent English

Extra qualifications

  • Knowledge of basic financial analysis and reporting tools.
  • Experience with other ERP systems (e.g., Xero, NetSuite, SAP) is a plus.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines.
  • Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
  • Analytical mindset with a willingness to learn and grow in the finance field.
  • Intermediate-Advanced Excel
