About the role
We are looking for a Data Engineer to design, build, and maintain scalable and reliable data pipelines that support critical business decisions. In this role, you will work closely with product owners, team leads, analysts, and BI developers to translate business needs into well-structured, high-quality data models. You will take ownership of key pipelines on GCP, ensure data quality and governance across all layers, and continuously improve performance, reliability, and efficiency of our data platform.
Responsabilities
Data Architecture
Build and maintain scalable data pipelines using GCP (BigQuery, Cloud Functions, Cloud Run, Workflows, Pub/Sub).
Design, optimize, and document data models across raw, silver, and gold layers.
Ensure performance, reliability, and maintainability of data workflows.
Business Understanding
Work closely with product owners and team leads to understand business rules, data needs, and operational constraints.
Translate business requirements into technical solutions, ensuring clarity and alignment.
Data Quality and Governance
Implement validation checks, monitoring, and controls to ensure data accuracy and consistency.
Maintain clear documentation of business rules, data contracts, and pipeline behavior.
Cross-Team Collaboration
Support analysts, BI developers, and other engineers with data access, troubleshooting, and best practices.
Participate in discussions related to strategic metrics, data availability, and system improvements.
